PiMS registration is user-friendly.  Registration contains patient demographics, the guarantor, the patient's insurance, and the referring physician. Registration is not complete until all information for billing is entered.  PiMS also provides alerts to review the patient registration on a periodic basis.

Scheduling is easy to use and requires very little training because the "rules" for scheduling are built into the times the resource (MD, Nurse, Room, Equipment, Technician, etc.) are available. PiMS coordinates all the resources' schedules and presents the times all resources are available.

Post Charges Automatically

PiMS has the option to automatically post charges when the patient is checked in/out on the day of appointment. This reduces errors and removes the need to batch and post charges at the end of the day. 

Once charges are posted and all required data elements are entered, PiMS automatically bills the account and generates the claim. Claims are submitted electronically automatically.

The rules for facility billing a patient's charges is built into PiMS, and the person posting charges does not need to worry about facility billing vs insurance billing. Facility charges are automatically transferred to the facility when posted and insurance/patient charges are automatically billed.
