When do I use Account Activity and when do I use a collection activity?
Use the Account Activity function when you want to print a letter but you do not want to interrupt tracking. Use a collection activity if you want to interrupt tracking and start a new collection process.
When you select a claim or guarantor balance from a worklist and enter an activity that has a letter attached, the letter will print and reset the tracking per the number of days noted in the activity. After the number of days have passed, the tracking will either print another letter or come back to the worklist for follow-up.
In addition to entering an activity from a worklist, you can request a letter and interrupt tracking using the following functions:
- Guarantor Tracking View Guarantor Tracking by Guar ID
- Claim Tracking View Claim Tracking by Account
- Patient Tracking View Pt Tracking - Account
- Account Tracking View Acct Tracking by Acct ID
