The initial prescription can be updated and some of the information changed using the Update Prescription function. The patient instructions, number of refills, days supply, number of labels and written date and RX expiration date are the fields that can be modified. This helps keep the prescription current without having to create a new prescription.

Viewing prescriptions are displayed with two options, one for just listing the patients’ dispensed medications and the other view showing the pending prescriptions (ready for dispense) and dispensed per patient.

Delete Prescription function list shows every dispense and pending prescription. A dispense status is changed from dispensed (DI) to deleted (DL). The delete will post a reverse charge on the patient's account. When all dispenses are deleted the prescription no longer displays.
