Appointment MaintenanceAfter you have scheduled an appointment, you may need to make changes to it. If either the patient or one of the appointment components becomes unavailable at the scheduled time, you can cancel or reschedule the appointment. When you cancel or reschedule an appointment, it automatically frees the appointment slot and moves the old appointment to the patient’s appointment history. PiMS allows you to easily change an existing appointment to a different time using the Reschedule function. When you select an appointment, the next available time is automatically presented. You can book that slot or search for another appointment for the patient. In addition to canceling and rescheduling, you can update appointment information such as the arrive-in and check-out times, scheduling comments, and itinerary notes. You can also delete an appointment that was scheduled inadvertently. Deleted appointments are removed from the appointment history. |
