Referring Physician Types Caregiver

The Caregiver  profile defines the types of caregivers. PiMS provides a basic set of referring physicians such as PCP, RPHX (new referring physician that is not an authorized caregiver), and RPHY (referring physician that is an authorized caregiver).  You can deactivate or activate those positions that you want available to your business process.

• Review the referring physician types and decide which referring physician types you want to use.
  

Deactivate a Caregiver Type

1. Select Deactivate Caregiver from the File menu.
2. Enter or select the caregiver type to deactivate.
   
3. You can also enter a partial caregiver type or a blank. A list of active referring physician types starting with the characters you input will be displayed. Select the caregiver position to deactivate.
4. The caregiver type detail screen displays. Press or select OK deactivate the caregiver type..
   

Activate a Caregiver Type

1. Select Activate Caregiver from the File menu.
2. Enter or select the caregiver type to activate.
   
3. You can also enter a partial caregiver type or a blank. A list of deactivated referring physician types starting with the characters you input will be displayed. Select the caregiver type to activate.
4. The caregiver type detail screen displays. Press or select OK activate the caregiver type.
